What is changing?

We are changing packaging on all Prescription Diet foods.

We are also upgrading some dry and wet formulas, and changing the aesthetics for some foods such as kibble shape, color, and size.

Why will we be seeing changes with Prescription Diet packaging?

We are modernizing our packaging to make it easier for you to navigate the Prescription Diet portfolio and work with your veterinarian to find the right product for your pet.
Do we recommend a 7-day feeding transition period for products with a formulation upgrades?

Yes. We recommend a 7-day transition period anytime a formula change results in significant changes to the ingredients used or the taste of the product. This helps ensure a smooth transition to the new food. As with any food transition, some pets may need a slower transition or more time to get used to a new food. Those foods where a transition is recommended will have "coming soon" stickers linking to resources that detail to clients how to transition to the upgraded product formula.
